BINGHAM, Velma Annmarie - Of Caledon, Ontario went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 11, 2021 at age 53.
She was born on February 10th, 1968 to Walton “Tom" Johnson and Alvira Dennis in Kingston, Jamaica.
She is a granddaughter to Altamont “Turkey" Johnson and Esther “Mama" Bentley and a sister to Michael Johnson, Winsome Johnson, Nadine Marsh, Omar Marsh, Viceroy Bowen and Rose Bowen-Baker.
She was raised by her grandmother, Esther Bentley known as “Mama” and her uncle, William “Hopeton” Johnson.
She immigrated to Canada at 12 years old in 1980, graduated high school in 1987 from Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute and earned a Medical Secretary certificate from Centennial College in 1988.
On June 17th, 1995 she married Carl Bingham at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Toronto and was blessed with three beautiful children, Jerome Bingham, Chantel Bingham and Khamica Bingham and a grandson, Raylan Hemmings.
A time of gathering will be held on Saturday March 20th, 2021 at 11am at Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery to celebrate Velma’s life. Service: 11am-12pm Burial: 12pm-1pm. The service and burial will be by invitation only.
