Nanoff PaulNANOFF, Paul (Pavel) George - Peacefully departed on March 22, 2021 surrounded by family at his home on Bedford Park Ave.

Beloved son of the late Georgi and Theodora Nanoff.

Devoted husband to Dominique, proud father of Alexander and Lisa, brother to Helen, Thomas, Dimitri and Victor, Uncle to Johnny, Jamie and Robert, Great-Uncle to Matthew, Nicholas and Zachary.

Paul’s beginning years began in Cabbagetown.

Later he spent his youth in North Toronto.

For over forty years, he taught in a variety of positions with many trusted and loyal colleagues for the Toronto Board of Education.

Despite his lifelong affliction with arthritis, he was always curious enough to work many alternative jobs.

After his marriage to Dominique in 1991, the family made regular trips to Manitoulin Island for six glorious summers.

A special thanks to Cecilio, a retired teacher and engineer, to the many teaching staff at several elementary and middle schools in Havana and to Rojolio, an excellent physiotherapist.

With the devoted support of his wife Dominique, his two beautiful children, beloved in-laws, family and friends, this journey was made less difficult. It has been a good run!

Many thanks to lifelong care family doctor Dr. J. Geleff and Dr. R. Davey, Dr. J. Janevski, Toronto Western Hospital, Dr. A. Prica and all staff connected to the Princess Margaret Hospital Network, with special thanks to the wound care specialists James Smith, RN and Nicole ,RN, and finally Dr. S. Thouin and Dr. R. Goldman from Mount Sinai’s Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Temmy Latner Centre, the Arthritis Society, a tree planting or charity of your choice.

Visitations will be held at the Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Due to current public health guidelines, a private funeral service for immediate family will be held on Thursday the 25th of March at 11 a.m. at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral with internment to follow.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for friends and family to gather when permissible.
