Thibodeau CarmelTHIBODEAU, Carmel Marie (Hachey) - (April 10th 1939 – March 25th 2021) - Carmel Thibodeau (Hachey) passed away at Humber River Hospital at the age of 81 on March 25th, 2021 after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of the late Isidore Hachey and the late Brigitte (Albert) (Hachey) Boudreau.

She is survived by her children, Robert and Deborah, her son-in-law Andrew and her granddaughter Mackenzie.

She was predeceased by her late husband Donald Thibodeau of 52 years who passed August 5th 2017.

Carmel was 1 of 22 children from a large blended family. She leaves behind many sisters and brothers, Claudette Cunnigham (late Donald), Patricia Vienneau, Noëlla Trainor (late Robert), Lucie Solazzo (Jerry), Margaret-May Noël (Tim), Colombe Boudreau (Barb), Joanne Tower (Gary), Rosemarie Boudreau (Albénie), Annabelle Gauvin (Yvon), Marie-Rita Roy (Daniel), Claudette Guitard (Raymond) Anita Aubé (Reno), Henri Boudreau (Lorraine), Clifford Boudreau (Kathleen) and Roger Boudreau (Giselle). As well as all her sister in-laws, brother in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepfather Clifford Boudreau, her brothers Peter-Paul Hachey, Camille Hachey, Vernon Boudreau, Ernest Boudreau and her sisters Géralda Hachey and Blanche O'Connell (late Allie).

Her greatest joys in life were seeing her granddaughter every day and spending time with all her family. She always loved going home to Bathurst for holiday visits to see her family. She will be sadly missed by all.

Due to Covid concerns a celebration of her life will be at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Weston chapel. She will be buried with her late husband Donald in in Bathurst New Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart & Stoke Foundation of Canada or Women’s College Hospital.
