Nykolaychuk BettyNYKOLAYCHUK, Betty JoanIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Joan Nykolaychuk at age 84 on March 25, 2021.

Betty was able to spend her last weeks at home with friends and family around her and died peacefully knowing she will be with Christ. Betty had a strong Christian faith and her church was her second home. Betty was an elder at the church and actively took part in the choir and many bible study groups.

She taught with the Etobicoke School Board for 30 years and after retirement worked for a number of years in Pakistan teaching Christian studies.

Betty enjoyed travel, having traveled to Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Alaska to name a few. She enjoyed music and frequently was singing. She loved life as a whole.

Betty will be deeply missed by her son David, daughter in law Allison, daughter Deborah and her sister Elaine along with her grandchildren Catherine, Gillian, Margret and Alex.

Cremation is taking place with a memorial service to be held at St Mark’s Lutheran Church in Port Credit once larger gatherings are allowed. Arrangements entrusted with Skinner and Middlebrook funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society of Mississauga or the Church of St Mark’s Lutheran would be appreciated.
