BEADLE, David William   -  Passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on Saturday, March 20, 2021, in Zephyr, Ontario, in his 85th year, after a brief battle with cancer.

David was born on July 30, 1936, in Willowdale, to Ambrose and Floris (Hodgson) Beadle.

David was a self-employed Carpenter, who started in the trade apprenticing under his father and uncle at Beadle Brothers Construction. He became sole owner in 1973 and it continued for over 40 years as David Beadle Construction Ltd.

David is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth (nee Coleman), and his children, Janet Campbell (Murray), Michael (Heather), and Christine Wright (Max).

Predeceased by sister, Nancy Fallis (Bob). Brother of John (June) and brother-in-law of John Coleman (Liz). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Joel (Erika), Leah, Hannah, Jacob, and Sarah Beadle, Riley and Jack Campbell. Great-grandfather to twins, Hadley and Avery Beadle.

Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and many friends.

David was a committed outdoorsman, both hunting and fishing. Many memories were stored away while camping and cottaging with family and friends.

He spent happy hours in his garden growing "Whoppers" (tomatoes), and was an avid golfer.

As an enthusiastic beagler, David enjoyed running with his dogs at the Wentworth Beagle Club, serving as President there more than once and acting as a judge at field trials. He was a member of OABC.

For many years, David was a loyal member of the Victoria Square Lions Club, where he held many offices.

A private family gathering and cremation will take place in Gormley.

Due to pandemic restrictions, interment at St. John's Anglican Church, Richmond Hill, and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.

Donations may be made to Trinity Aurora (trinityaurora.ca follow "donate" and note "Endowment Fund" in memo), or The Salvation Army.
