Hunter RubyHUNTER, Ruby Murial   -   August 29, 1930 – March 24, 2021

It's with loving hearts that we announce the passing of Ruby Murial Hunter on March 24, 2021 at the age of 91.

She passed peacefully and without pain but with grace, dignity and her undeniable sense of humor.

At her side were, longtime friend, Zen Lof and her granddaughter Trina Skare, at the Kensington Revera Retirement Home.

Ruby leaves behind her daughter Kathleen, and grandchildren, Trina, Jason, Kimberly and Tracy. Ruby will be dearly missed by family, friends and those fortunate to have known her.

Ruby was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Bruce Hunter, her son Bruce Robert, her parents, Dorotta and Omer, sister, Dorothy and her Uncle George.

Ruby married Bruce Hunter in 1947 and shared a love that spanned 63 years. Together they had 2 children and travelled the world with a desire to learn of culture and people. They are now reunited for their next adventure.

Ruby's interest and care for people extended to her philanthropic work and generosity to help those in need. Ruby was interested in knowing people, not just meeting them.

Ruby will forever be missed but never forgotten.

The cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held in the coming months for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice and would be appreciated.
