McKenzie MargaretMCKENZIE, Margaret   - Passed away on April 27, 2021, at Sunnyside Home at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald McKenzie.

Dearly loved by her children: Karen (Dan) Lagassie and Lesley McKenzie.

Cherished by her grandchildren: Grant, Lincoln and Jaxon.

Margaret trained as a Midwife and Registered Nurse in Scotland.

With a spirit of adventure, she immigrated alone to Canada in 1964 and met her future husband, Ron.

She held a long career in nursing, moving through different specialties but finding her focus in geriatrics for the majority of her career.

She was passionate about the care of those who suffered dementia, after seeing her own mother suffer through Alzheimer's disease.

Her husband Ron was her world and they were married over 45 years.

Rarely apart, happy together and partners in life until Ron's death, their love was so strong it will continue for eternity. She enjoyed spending many years at their cottage where she and Ron built their dream escape over 40 years.

This was the true Canadian dream she hoped for when leaving Scotland.

Private cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
