PAPADOPOULOU, Evangelia (Nedantsis) - (February 12, 1935 – May 13, 2021) -
Evangelia Papadopoulou (Nedantsis) 86, was born on February 12th, 1935, in Polyplatanos, Florina, Greece, to her parents Dimitrios and Stavroula.
She met and married the love of her life - the late Simeon at the age of 20 and together they had four children - the late Alexandros, Ekaterini (Joe), Zissis (Sue) and Athina (the late George).
They emigrated to Canada in the 60s in search of a more prosperous future for their family.
Evangelia and Simeon taught their children their strong work ethic and family values that led them to create beautiful lives and families for themselves, blessing Evangelia and Simeon with eight grandchildren. Evangelia felt fortunate to also meet her twelve great-grandchildren.
She was loved by all for her happy, bubbly and welcoming personality. Her favourite hobbies revolved around her giving nature and service to her family. She loved to maintain her vegetable garden, make sausages, and pickle vegetables. She enjoyed baking bread and rolling out her famous phyllo dough for Pites, and she also enjoyed knitting slippers and blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evangelia will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.
