Persaud JanicePERSAUD, Janice Annette Heaps - Passed away after a sudden illness, on Monday, May 25, 2021, at the age of 53 years.

Janice will be lovingly remembered by her husband of twenty-three years, Richard Persaud, and their children Jada, Steven, and Ethan.

Janice will also be forever remembered by her parents, Glen and Lenora Heaps, and by her two sisters, Sharon Robinson and Denise Heaps, along with Sharon’s husband, Greg Robinson, and their two sons, Glen and Eric.

Moreover, Janice’s memory will be fondly remembered by her in-laws Doman (predeceased) and Susheila Persaud, sister-in-law - Anita and her husband Ayube Hassan and their two children Andrew and Sabrina.

Janice lived her life with love for her family, friends and, first and foremost, her dear children; with a fierce loyalty to loved ones; with a strong work ethic; with a talent for finding the humour in all situations; and with an enduring passion and empathy for animals, including her many adored pets of fur and feather.

Janice’s great gift to the world, apart from her children, was her ability to make us laugh; imbued with the comic spirit, she loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. Some of her happiest moments were no doubt spent “chin-wagging,” laughing, and dancing with her maternal grandmother, Edith Steele (predeceased). She would be happy knowing that you remember her with a smile.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Janice’s funeral will be held for immediate family only on Sunday, May 30, 2021, in Scarborough.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to The Toronto Humane Society in hounour of Janice's life and memory.
