Sedore ClareSEDORE, Clarence 'Clare' Edward - With sad but tremendously proud hearts we announce the passing of Clarence (Clare) Edward Sedore, age 68, of Toronto. He passed comfortably and in the presence of family at Michael Garron Hospital on May 27, 2021.

Clare was born on January 13, 1953 to Doris Sedore and was raised in the Annex along with his sister, "Sweetie," and three brothers, Billy, "Frenchie," and Dale. Clare’s own father Clarence had passed a month before his birth.

Clare will be fondly remembered and missed by his family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and everyone else who was privileged to know him.

Sharp to the very end, Clare was a lifelong cards and hockey fan. He loved to drive and go for road trips with his family and he would travel any distance to be with those he loved. Heavily involved with the Canadian Scouting movement as his children grew, he was Hawkeye of the 8th Toronto for more than a decade.

He was always the first to lend a hand and patient with everyone - from those in the service industry to the countless young men he helped in trucking. And from his aged mother-in-law to his youngest grandchildren.

Clare and his wife Dolores (nee Kallio) were married in 1974, moved to East York in 1979, and had five children. Throughout their lives these five spunky and brilliant children - along with their friends and partners - were always gathering for celebrations with Clare and Dolores in their childhood home. The door was always open and there was always food, drink, and kindness to spare.

Clare spent his professional life in the aggregate (construction stone) industry, and his colleagues remember him as knowing “more people in and out of a gravel truck than anyone else.”

Known as Pops or Popsie to his five children and 12 grandchildren, Clare was always generous with his time and lived his life with the foremost goal of supporting and encouraging his wife and family.

Clare will be missed and always loved by Dolores and his children Laila (Gilles), Mark (Kate), Maili (Casey), Eric (Davina), and Ayla (David). His adoring grandchildren Luc, Patric, Mackenzie, Severn, Darcy, Teemu, Esme, Wren, Aurora, Atticus, Archer and Otis will all miss their Popsie dearly.

In lieu of flowers we welcome donations to your favourite children’s charity, the Salvation Army, or the Scott Mission.

Arrangements entrusted with Trull funeral home.
