Prettyman EileenPRETTYMAN, Eileen - Peacefully on June 15, 2021, at Amica Bayview Village.

Eileen was the only child of wonderful parents, Florence Ash-Greaves and Percy Albert Prettyman, both of Durham and Kent, England.

She was a graduate of Victoria College, University of Toronto and went to Teacher’s College in Toronto.

She did her Master’s at Columbia University in New York.

She was a teacher with the TDSB for 36 years, 11 of which were spent as a Special Education Teacher for the Deaf. Eileen worked for three years in the Toronto offices of Imperial Oil Ltd.

After retirement from teaching, Eileen spent 21 years volunteering as a docent at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg. For many years she was associated with the Toronto Conservatory of Music, studying piano – an interest fostered by her parents. Her father was an accomplished pianist. Her interests for many years included travel, study, gardening, sailing, creative handwork, and ballroom dancing. Eileen also had a lifelong devotion to animals.

Eileen will be missed by the Prettyman family in Australia, and by her many friends, especially Sheila and Helen.

A private service was held followed by interment in Toronto.
