ILUYOMADE, Kola - With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Kola (fondly called Dotun by family members) on June 24, 2021, just 13 days after his 56th birthday.
Kola was so full of life and brought joy with his jokes and booming infectious laughter.
He gave selflessly of his time and was always ready to help family, friends, or a stranger. Kola was always known to fight and advocate for the ‘underdog’ from a young age, and it was no surprise that in his later years, he became the leader, advocate, and activist he is known for today.
Kola leaves behind and will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife (Funke), two sons (Ore and Ife) whom he was immensely proud of brother (Joseph) and father (Kola Snr).
Kola will be dearly missed by his many family members (Iluyomade, Akinyandenu, Adetula), school and university life-long friends (Government College Ojo Old Students Alumni, Great Ife Obafemi Awolowo Alumni, Great Ife Law 82-83 Alumni Association) and other friends and colleagues that became part of his family.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions the Musical Reflection Service for Kola will be private and by invitation only on Friday, July 9, 2021. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Saturday, July 10, 2021 starting at 11am Through Brampton Funeral Homes.
