HOWSE, Gilbert - Gilbert George Howse, 88, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away peacefully, on June 25, 2021, in his daughter's home, surrounded by love.
Gil was the loving husband of the late Jean (Mason) Howse and father of Glen, Sharon (Fred) and Heather (Garry).
A loving grandfather to Emily, Willi, Noah, Ryan, and Vanessa, he spent many evenings sharing adventures growing up in Carmanville, Newfoundland, and the London-Sarnia area, as the son of Rev.
Gilbert George and Bessie (Hann) Howse. His favourite pastime was watching hockey with mom and later Glen and Garry.
Bert (Gil) will be missed by his sister Betty as he joins Jean and Rose in Heaven. His many friends remember Dad for his strong personality, love of family, travel, education, skating, cycling and gardening.
At his request, there will be a private family interment where he will rest beside his beloved Jean and a celebration of life planned later.
In memory of Gil, a multiple cancer survivor, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcome.
