PETROFF, Alex - Of Lion's Head, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Southampton, on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the age of 91 years.
Loving husband and best friend of Shirley (nee Moore) for 68 years.
Devoted father of Stephen, of Toronto, Thomas, of Lion's Head, Richard, of Lion's Head, and Marianne Petroff (husband Mark Bradshaw), of Toronto.
Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Denin, Chase, Nicole, and Ella; and great-grandfather of Natalie and Carter. Sadly missed by his brother-in-law, Bob Rouse (Leanne); and his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Annie; brother, Boris; brothers-in-law, Frank Moore and Alfred Moore; and sister-in-law, Betty Rouse.
Alex was a licensed private Pilot from the age of 18 and enjoyed 37 years of retirement on the Bruce peninsula.
A 30-year member of the Lions Club and avid musician and accordion player, enjoying many performances over the years from the Golden Dawn and local legions, to parties too numerous to mention.
Thanks to the many nurses and doctors of GBHS Southampton for their compassion and care.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
