Hub StephenHUB, Stephen Allen - It is with hearts full of love and a lifetime of cherished memories that our family announces the passing of Stephen Hub on June 27, 2021 at the age of 71.

Stephen was the much loved husband of Jody, father of Randall and Emily (Mrs. Rob Hill), and papa to Max, Leya, Coen, Ivy, and Neve.

He was born to Wilbur and Rita Hub (both deceased) on October 1, 1949, and had two brothers, Bill (deceased) and Ron. He was also uncle to countless nieces and nephews, and a friend to many throughout his life.

After graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in math education, Steve taught at Reading High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then joined the start-up team for Kings Dominion Theme Park in Richmond, Virginia, and moved to Newmarket, Ontario in 1979 as part of the team building Canada’s Wonderland. For the past 30 years, Steve worked in the life insurance industry with several banks in Toronto to make life insurance part of a balanced financial plan.

Steve was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2010. Our family would like to heap thanks and praise on all the ‘angels’ of the Alzheimer Society of York day program as well as the PSW’s, nurses, and other staff at Southlake Village LTC facility in Newmarket.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either of these vital services would be greatly appreciated.

A private family mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
