Pearson BessiePEARSON, Bessie May (Percival) - With great sorrow, the family announces her peaceful passing at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre on June 29, 2021.

At the incredible age of 100, Bessie was called home to her Lord! Bessie spent the last day of her life listening to her favourite hymns and being comforted by Sunnybrook's pastor!

Bessie May Pearson was born in Ryland, Ontario to Mary Annie Beal and Arthur George Percival on April 1, 1921.

Predeceased by her loving husband, Millen Lyle Pearson (Duke), on September 30, 1987.

Loving mother of Janice Lynn Claire Barron of Warner, Alberta, John Millen Pearson (Raffina) of Toronto, and Jody Gregory Pearson (Amanda) of Elliot Lake.

Dear grandmother of Leora Pearson, of Montreal, Quebec, Jesse Baron and Tanner Baron (Amanda) of Warner, Alberta and Jeremy Pearson of Guelph, and Joshua Pearson of Elliot Lake.

She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Chloe and Charlie Baron of Warner, Alberta.

Sister-in-law of Harry Jordan, Carrying Place.

Predeceased by her parents, brothers, Charles, George, Bob, Jim, Jack, and Bill Percival and her sisters, Elizabeth Bessie Percival, Annie Brazeau, Ester May Percival, Rose Spencer, Elizabeth Ellen Bacvar, Gladys Jordan and Rita McNeil.

Our family expresses our deepest thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care provided to our Mom during her five year stay at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. Your caring and compassion will never be forgotten.

She always maintained her dignity in the face of hardship. Her love of life remained steadfast.

As is fitting, Bessie's cremation occurred on Canada Day, a country she loved and fought for as a young woman. A life celebration will be held at a later date.

Donations in Bessie's name to Sunnybrook Veterans Centre or other children's charities would be greatly appreciated.
