PENNEY, Hoover Mac Donald - Went to be with his Lord on Thursday July 1, 2021 at the age of 91.
He was born on October 7, 1929 to Alfred and Winnifred Penney of Deer Harbour, Newfoundland.
He was married for 50 wonderful years to Dorothy Eileen Marsh until her death in 1999.
Donald was fortunate to find love again when he married Lily Bell Reynolds. He leaves behind his wife, Lily, of 21 years; his sisters Doris Vardy and Ena Marsh(predeceased by his brother Lawrence & sister Eva Myles).
Loving father to Ruth(Bill Cornish), Nina(Mike Gerard), Wilfred Penney(Heather) and Brenda Penney(Jennifer Ayling).
He had 8 grandchildren: Chris, Kim, David, Matthew, Sarah, Lindsay, Rachel & Jacob.
He had 7 great grandchildren: Emma, Riley, Kerrington, Brianna, Hailey, Lisa & Cole.
His stepson, Calvin Reynolds & stepdaughter Debbie(Bill Cole) were joined to his family in 2000.
Donald had many more relatives across Canada whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 7th. Due to Covid restrictions the chapel service will be limited to “invited” family members only. Internment will take place on Thursday, July 8th.
Donations may be made in memory of Donald to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
