Maniataki EffyMANIATAKI, Efpraxia 'Effy' (Petinaris) -  Passed away peacefully on Saturday July 3, 2021 in Toronto, Ontario.

She was a caring wife to Adonios Maniatakis, a loving sister in-law to Petros Maniatakis and a loving mother too: Peter(Taki), Helen, Theodora(Dora) and Chris Maniataki’s

Effy praised, loved and cherished her grandchildren: Anthony, Geordie, Michael, Asimina, Katerina, Nectaria, Patrick & Yiannis.

Effy was born July 23rd 1952 in Kalamata Greece, while growing up Effy loved music, dancing and gymnastics in Kalamata.

In her early teens, Effy was a beauty enthusiast who followed her passion as beauty product retailer therefore becoming an esthetician.

In her late teens Effy met Adonios. They fell in love and created a beautiful family together, which redirected them to move to Toronto, Canada where she lived until her passing.

Whoever knew Effy, she was known for her loud sweet voice. When she entered room or home you knew she had arrived.

The unfortunate reality is, moving forward this loud sweet voice will be missed. Knowing Effy’s characters she will say “Remember my voice internally and move on, as I love you all”.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Friday, July 9th, 2021. Flowers are not required, as you maybe aware Efpraxia will be buried in Kalamata, Greece therefore their will be no burial service in Toronto.
