Moffat MichaelMOFFAT, G. Michael George  - "Michael" Moffat, of Brampton, ON, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Michael was born on August 25, 1935, to Thomas and Jennie (Harris) Moffat (predeceased) in Belleville, ON.

Raised in Tweed, ON, with his parents and 8 siblings, it is in this small town where he met the love of his life, Catherine.

Michael and Catherine raised their four children in Toronto and Brampton, where they were involved in many sports and activities.

Michael's greatest love was his family.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 59 years, Catherine (nee Quinn) and children Edward (Evangeline) Moffat, James Moffat, John (Jennifer) Moffat, and Kate (Matthew) Devine.

He will be dearly missed by his adored grandchildren Jonathan, Quinn, Tess, Emma, Meaghan, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Isabel and Hailey, and his brother Wally (Georgina) Moffat.

Predeceased by his siblings Alison (Brandow), Millicent, Enid, Margaret, Cara (Butler), Gertrude and Tom Moffat. The family wishes to thank all his wonderful friends for their love and support, and the excellent and compassionate care of the doctors and nurses at Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga Hospital, and Cathy McKeen, who was an integral part of Michael's care.

A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church followed by the interment in Mississauga on Friday, July 9, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a tribute donation to the Mississauga Hospital.
