Johnston JamesJOHNSTON, James Alexander Gillespie - April 1, 1925 - July 9, 2021

Born April 1, 1925 in Toronto, our cherished father, grandfather and great grandfather Jim passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021 at Hospice Simcoe.

Survived by daughters Donna (Jeff) and Denise (Sean), grandchildren Jennifer, Andrea, Daniel, Kate, Chris, Alex, Mac, Rachel and Seneca, and great grandchildren Alex, Keara and Freddie.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Marjorie and adorned daughter Dale.

Jim will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by friends and family.

He served overseas as a proud Canadian soldier in WWII.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the wonderful care lovingly provided by the compassionate staff at Hospice Simcoe.

A private memorial service has taken place.

If desired, donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe at hospicesimcoe.ca.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the visitation and funeral service will be private.

The family would like to thank everyone for your support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Simcoe.
