HOCHMAN, Lea (née Zimmerman) - A Holocaust Survivor.
On Friday, August 6, 2021, just shy of her 101st birthday.
Wife of the late Abraham Hochman. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Ada and Jim Katz, Shosh (Susan) and Julius Grabel, Sheila and Arthur Lampert.
Cherished Bubbie of Ilana and David, Micah and Rachel, Aviva and Alan, Davi and Ahuva; David and Ilana, Melanie and Daniel, Jennifer and Dalton; Danielle and Michael, and Adam. Treasured great-grandmother of Yisrael, Simi, Hillel, Donny, Elie, Ayala, Yaacov, Naama, Ashira, Jordana, Gabriel, Azriel, Asher; Yaakov, Nechama, Isabelle, Brayden, Mitchell, Naomi, Shira, Natanel, Tzofiya, Yosef, Binyomin, and Noah.
Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Israel and Lucia Zimmerman, Herman and Judith Zimmerman; and her parents, other siblings and many relatives who perished in the Holocaust. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, their families, and by all who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are entrusted with Steeles Memorial Chapel. Private graveside service will take place in Montreal. Shiva private.

Lea spoke to many people through schools, synagogues, and countless organizations about her experiences during the Holocaust. This past year, she took her message virtually all over the world and taught about her most important topic “THE MIRACLES OF HASHEM”.
She believed that everything happens for a reason, and we all need to have a strong Emunah (belief in Hashem).
