Berry JoanBERRY, Joan Agnes (nee SMITH)   -  Born on December 4, 1921, in Fort William, Ontario, Joan passed peacefully on August 3, 2021.

Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Beloved wife of Vern (predeceased 2004) for 58 years.

She was an amazing mother to her daughters, Suzanne (Steve Manning) and Marilyn (Brian Fair), who will miss her every day.

Loving grandmother of Kaitlin and Brendan Manning and Leanne and Bradley Fair, who she never failed to entertain no matter what their age. Joan was the eldest of six children.

Predeceased by her sister, Josie and brothers, Jack and Robert. Survived by her sister, Noel McKinley and brother, Richard Smith. Joan will be remembered in the hearts of family and friends for a life well lived.

She and Vern enjoyed their retirement years at their cottage in Thunder Bay during the summer months and spent the winter months at their home in Toronto, staying active downhill skiing well in to their late 70s.

Going out for lunches, playing bridge and entertaining friends and family was what she enjoyed the most.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Thunder Bay, followed by interment.
