Loewen JamesLOEWEN, James Russell   - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Jim Loewen on August 2, 2021 at the age of 88.

Jim was born in Elkhorn, Manitoba on March 23, 1933, and was part of a large close knit family of five brothers and two sisters.

His immediate and extended family was always important to Jim and he was forever linking family members with long lost cousins in far flung locales or inviting any relatives in the vicinity to join family get togethers.

Jim was married to Myrna (nee Lewarne) for over sixty years and together they built a wonderful life for themselves and their three sons (JohnMichaelBrian).

He spent his entire career with CIBC, starting as a teller from high school and ending as a Senior Vice President.

Jim was fiercely loyal to his family and indeed to everyone he knew.

He loved his family and was incredibly loved by them all - his wife Myrna; his children and their partners, John and Sheila, Michael and Elizabeth, Brian and Daphne; and his grandchildren and their partners, Alanna and Nick, Mitchell and Sally, Elyssa and Andrew, Adriana and Mario.

We will all miss his smile, his wit and his generous spirit.

A private interment was held and a celebration of life will be held at the beginning of September.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trillium Heath Partners Foundation - Cancer Care Program (https://secure.trilliumgiving.ca). We cannot thank them enough for their incredible care during the last 10 months and in particular the palliative care team for helping us through the difficult last stages.
