Mittal SangeetaMITTAL, Sangeeta - Passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021.

Sangeeta was born to Malti and Pritam Jain in India in 1954. Soon after Sangeeta’s birth, they moved to Walsall in England where her brother Nishi was born.

As a young girl, Sangeeta excelled academically and was a maths whiz, but her passion was music and kathak dancing.

She met her husband Krishan when he came from India to England to do his Masters degree in Metallurgical engineering.

They soon married and moved to Canada where Sangeeta earned a Bachelors in Computer Science from York University. In 1978, she was blessed with her son Akash, followed by her daughter Sapna in 1983.

As the years passed, Sangeeta enjoyed travels with her family, get-togethers with friends and celebrating special milestones with loved ones. Sangeeta loved walks, swimming and spending time near the ocean but the true love of her life was Krishan.

Sangeeta welcomed her daughter-in-law, Parul, to the family in 2008 and her son-in-law, Aneesh, in 2011. Her family continued to grow with the addition of her 4 grandchildren Raina, Roshan, Jiya, and Sanya, whom she cherished spending time with.

Despite her cancer diagnosis in 2017, Sangeeta maintained a rich life full of humor and positivity, surrounded by her family and friends. She found strength and comfort in music when she listened to her favourite musicians which ranged from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to Pavarotti.

Throughout her life she cared not for status or material possessions. She measured others by the size of their hearts instead of their wallets.

Sangeeta will always be remembered for her infectious laughter, her singing, her carefree nature and her free-spirited approach to life.

Her memory will be cherished by all those whose life she touched.

A service will take place at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021.
