Easton MurielEASTON, Muriel Marie Yvonne (nee Andrau) - (1933 - 2021) - It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Easton announces her peaceful passing at home on August 6, 2021 with her husband at her side.

Muriel is predeceased by her parents Jan and Dorothy Andrau of Mimico and her daughter Suzanne Hnatiw.

Loving wife of John Easton, with whom she shared 64 loving years of marriage. Loving mother to Lynn Nevin (Mike) and Shawna Yeung (Michael), beloved grandmother to Cameron (Leanne), Katelynn (Cameron), Aaron (Caitlin), Jake, Evan and Kara, cherished great-grandmother to Piper, Madeline, Callie, Matilda and Maisy.

Loving sister to Bill Andrau and beloved Aunt to Bambi, Paul, Kim, Cheryl and Jennifer. She will be fondly remembered by John Hnatiw (Kelly).

A longtime resident of Long Branch, Muriel taught kindergarten for many years in south Etobicoke. She was an active member of Alderwood United Church. She shared her music, art, humour and deep faith with all who knew her.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 14 at Alderwood United Church, 44 Delma Dr. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, the capacity of the church’s sanctuary is limited. Those who wish to attend must register with Alderwood United Church by calling 416 252 4166. Those not registered may not be admitted if capacity is reached. Attendees will be expected to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed via the website of Ridley funeral home.

The family wishes to thank Novi for the exceptional care she has provided for Muriel this past year.

In lieu of flowers, and if desired, donations in memory of Muriel to Alderwood United Church, The Alzheimer Society, The Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
