Devoted husband to Maureen, amazing father to Bruce and beloved father-in-law to Aimee, Alvin turned 80 on June 29, 2021.

He was already facing his own diagnosis of brain cancer (Glioblastoma Multiforme, Wild Type, Grade IV), after practicing palliative care in Brampton for many years with the Brameast Family Health Organization. He was blessed with an enjoyable 5 ½ months after his diagnosis on February 14, 2021.

Alvin co-founded the Brameast Family Health Organization, and he practiced medicine for 51 years.

Born into a Brethren in Christ farming community in Gormley, Ontario, he continued to have strong faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit at work in his life and in community. He lately attended and volunteered at North Bramalea United Church (NBUC) nbuc.ca, and both taught and supported Alpha, alphacanada.org.

Alvin will be missed by all relatives and friends.
