Veale IrisVEALE, Iris Mary Margaret - It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Iris Veale announces her passing on August 5, 2021.

It was a beautiful, sunny, summer day when Iris was called home and welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord in heaven.

Iris was a loving, gentle soul who loved deeply and completely. She was described by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her as kind, caring, sweet, compassionate and tender hearted.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Ted. Iris will be deeply missed everyday by her loving daughters Diane (Paul) and Nancy (Shawn).

Iris was a proud and loving Granny and will be so missed by her grandchildren Jasmine, Madison, Kayla (Samuel) and Colin. She was honoured and blessed to be a great-grandmother to the newest family member, Levi. Iris made sure to wait for his safe arrival before she set out for heaven. She will be greatly missed by her loving sister Marianne, sister-in-law Marg and countless nieces and nephews.

Iris was blessed to come from a rich heritage of the honourable Feaver family. She will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Gord, niece Sue and great nieces Leala and Ella and cousin Sue (Tim). Iris leaves a legacy of kindness and caring for others.

The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Shepherd Village who cared for her in the last stages of her life, especially through the challenges of Covid. Special thanks to the caring staff at Scarborough Health Network-Birchmount who treated Iris and the family with kindness, dignity and care in her final days. Thanks especially to nurse Bev, a close friend of the family, who adopted mom as her own and loved mom in her final days. The family is extremely grateful.

Arrangements are entrusted with Ogden Funeral Home, Scarborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
