Armour EveleenARMOUR, Eveleen Mary (Thomson) - Died peacefully at her home in Toronto on August 31, 2021.

Eveleen was very exuberant and could fill a room with her enthusiasm.

She always had very engaging topics to discuss. Eveleen was a lifelong learner. Her first degree was Interior Design from the Ontario College of Art, after which she practiced commercial interior design including working at Expo 67.

She was the proprietor of Antiques and Things at MacPherson and Yonge for many years, accompanied by her devoted yellow lab Brian.

Later, she pursued her interest in landscape design, and graduated from the University of Guelph in Landscape Architecture. She then received her Master’s degree in Environmental Design from York University.


Daughter of the late Catherine Griffin and Charles Shephard Thomson.

Sister of Charles Griffin Thomson and the late Catherine Ann Sharpe.

Mother of Deborah Krouse (late Ted), Jennifer Armour (Rob), Zoe Brydon, and Jamie Armour.

Grandmother and lovingly known as “Woo Woo” to Katie, Madelaine, Molly, Ruth, Christine, Ethan, Liza, Owen, Brenden; and her 17 great-grandchildren.

She was aunt to Lisa Sharpe Ruscica and Samantha Sharpe and great-aunt of four nieces and nephews.

She was married for many years to John Armour (predeceased), and was also very fond of John Armour’s family.

Cremation has taken place. A post-Covid memorial gathering to be announced at a later date.
