Scott AllanSCOTT, Allan   -  January 17, 1940 - September 10, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that Allan passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at Toronto Western Hospital due to complications from Parkinson's.

Adored husband of 54 years to Jeanne, loving father to Steven (Tracey) and Ryan (Kimberly), proud Papa to Dylan and Brooklyn.

Brother to Gloria (Graham) of New Zealand and predeceased by brother George.

Sadly missed, by sister-in-law Jeanette and nephew Douglas and nieces Fiona and Gloria.

Also, sadly missed by brother-in-law Bob (Nancy) Allan loved sports and skied in Europe, Aspen, Vail and Banff with friends and family. He loved his family and passed on to Steven and Ryan a love of the outdoors and an active life.

Allan carried his passion for health and fitness into a career that began at the Toronto Central YMCA and later at North York YMCA. From there he influenced more people with Lloyd Percival, starting up the Fitness Institute.

Allan was President of High Park Ski Club during the 70's and at this time he joined the Cambridge Club where he positively impacted so many lives as a mentor and guide.

Allan helped organize the original Fitness Club at the Skydome and later returned to the Cambridge Club to end his career there in 2015, at age 75.

The Scott family is extremely grateful to the wonderful palliative care team at Toronto Western Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m at the Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket. A Private Funeral Service by Invitation, will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021. If you would like to attend the service please call to RSVP.
