Higgins MarciaHIGGINS, Marcia Jacqueline - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Marcia on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the age of 67 years.

Marcia was the dear daughter of Cassandra Reid and William Grant. She was the devoted mother of Kal Higgins and his wife Maruschka Ollivierre-Higgins. She will forever be the cherished grandmother of Liliah and Naliah.

Marcia was the loving sister of Laurel Grant, Lorna Reid, Sybil Grant, Jacqueline Robertson and Angela Wickham.

Marcia was a fun loving and outgoing person whose personality was magnetic. She approached everything she did with dedication and tenacity and inspired others to do the same. Above all else she lived her life for the Lord. She pursued the word of God with passion, not just to learn but also to help others learn of His love. Her gift for teaching impacted every sector of her life and established her legacy of God-fearing kindness. Her heart was larger than life and she poured unreservedly into others.

Marcia was truly an amazing person. She had many interests and passions. She enjoyed learning languages of the Bible (Hebrew & Greek). She was also known for her skill in the kitchen which included cooking and baking. Many of her friends and family were honoured to have her design a cake for their celebrations. Marcia could often be found tending to her garden and also had a keen interest in fashion.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all their Family & friends who have prayed for and with them over the years and through this challenging time. They encourage those in mourning to remember with them that although she is gone, she is happy with God. Marcia will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family, friends and all who knew her in Canada, Jamaica, the UK, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, France and across the world.

Family and friends will be received at Brampton Christian Family Church (9446 McLaughlin Rd N, Brampton, ON L6X 4H9) on Saturday September 18th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A private Funeral Service will commence at 12:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton.

In loving memory of Marcia, donations to Sick Kids Hospital, The Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Canada or International Fellowship of Christians & Jews would be appreciated by the family.

For the health and well-being of everyone, we respectfully request that attendees at the church comply with current by-laws by observing social and physical distancing and wearing masks.
