ABALOS, Irene - Was granted her angel wings on October 1, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by family that Irene had touched in some small way throughout her very memorable life.
Irene Abalos was born Oct 20, 1928 in Bayambang, Pangasinan, Philippines. At a very early age, she started working in Sales.
She then gave birth and raised her only child Em-ar Rosario. In 1997, she was brought by her daughter to Canada and has lived here since.
Her interests included family, gardening, and playing bingo. She devoted much of her time and energy as a babysitter, caregiver to family members, including her sisters.
Irene lived a simple life. But those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her strictness taught everyone how to be responsible.
She may be forgetful due to old age, and yet her smile and stubbornness brought so much fun to the family. Although she was kinny and frail, she gave us all such courage, hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
Visitation and the service will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home, Toronto on Saturday, October 9th, 2021.
