ZANIDAKIS, Michel - It is with a heavy heart and immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, amazing father and doting grandfather on October 1, 2021.
Born in Piraeus, Greece in 1944, Mike left his homeland to work on freight ships.
After travelling the world, he considered Canada the land where dreams come true.
He arrived in 1968 and met the love of his life where they spent 51 years together.
He was the father he always wished for and the best grandfather.
His larger than life personality fit perfectly with his career in the restaurant business. Anyone who met Mike never forgot him.
Mike passed away after a long battle with cancer. J
ust as he dealt with all challenges in life, he managed his illness with strength and grace. On his final day he was surrounded by his family, who adored him more than anything else in the world.
Mike is survived by his wife Stella, his daughter Diana (John) and granddaughter Nasia.
