Squires KenSQUIRES, Kenneth 'Ken' Todd - (1964 - 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kenneth Todd Squires in the early morning of Friday October 1, 2021.

Ken (Kenny) was the dear son of Harvey K. Squires and Leona (nee Strong – predeceased 1998). Ken is now reunited in heaven with his mother and brother Paul (predeceased 1979).

Ken was the cherished brother of Sean (Jolana), Pauline (Larry), Wanda (Gary) and Jennifer. He was the fun loving uncle of many nieces and nephews including Ashley, Chris, Clint, Craig, Hana, Jake, Jessica and Sarah who will miss getting his funny text messages about the weather, TV shows, current events and other fun stuff.

Ken especially loved and appreciated his father – Harvey – who had taken care of him since his accident in 2002 and devoted so much of his life to support Ken.

Ken was born on June 7, 1964 and grew up in Mississauga and Brampton. He attended high school at North Park in Brampton. He was a truly remarkable person with many interests and passions. Most of all he loved his family and friends. He was an independent, funny, loving guy who was a big kid at heart. He treasured family and loved to help others.

He had a passion for collecting (everything) especially memorabilia of his favourite NHL team, the Montreal Canadiens. Always one to put others before himself, he was known for taking out and bringing back garbage and recycling bins for all of his neighbours each week. In winter, it was not unusual for him to get up early on a snowy day to shovel and salt his neighbours’ driveways. He was much loved on his street as the eccentric character/neighbour, who helped everyone.

Ken was a regular customer of John's Restaurant and was well known and liked by customers, the employees and the owners. Ken will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all his family, friends and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. All will miss his smile, jokes, love and support.

In light of the current global pandemic, funeral arrangements are taking place in private. Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Ken to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
