Sureshkumar KusalaSURESHKUMAR, Kusala - 60, of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, passed away on October 1, 2021 in Toronto, Ontario.

Kusala Sureshkumar was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka to Sivaselvanathan Sivakolundu & Maheswary Sivaselvanathan on February 25, 1961.

She graduated from English Holy Family Convent in Jaffna in December of 1979.

Kusala then enrolled for a Diploma of Science at Holy Family Convent, which then led to her teaching at the Chundukuli Girls Highschool for a duration of 2 Years. She simultaneously was self-employed as a wedding dresser and a cake decorator during her free time.

Kusala married Sureshkumar Thilagaratnam in August of 1989 in Jaffna, at the Nallur Sivan Temple, moving to Canada in 1990. Kusala, a lady of many talents loved all crafts within the arts. She enjoyed cooking, drawing, and was a very creative florist.

Every interaction with Kusala is truly joyful filled with love and laughter, as she was very warm and open. Kusala had a deep passion for helping others greatly. She worked for the Ministry of Health as a Claims Assessor for 17 years until her health prevented her services.

Kusala is preceded in death by Kalendiran Sivaselvanathan (Brother), Sivaselvanathan Sivakolundu (Father), Maheswary Sivaselvanathan (Mother), and Pavendiran Sivaselvanathan (Brother).

Kusala is survived by Gowtham Sureshkumar (Son), Shymala Sivaji (Sister), and Harindiran Sivaselvanathan (Brother).

The family of Kusala Sureshkumar wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the entire ADP Department.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham.
Cremation will follow on Sunday, October 10, 2021.
