STEKAR, Kristina - (December 29, 1931 - October 5, 2021)
It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Kristina in her 90th year. She passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital with her family at her side.
Predeceased by Ivan, her loving husband of 60 years.
Loving daughter of Franc and Roza Srebernic (both deceased).
Loving Mother to Silvia, John, Rosey (Glenn), Frank, Louie (Barbara), Edward and Mark (Anna).
Loving Grandmother to Elizabeth, Thomas, Madeline, Evan, Stefan, Jonathan, Sara, Nicholas, Harrison, Andrew, Adrianna and Michael. Great-grandmother to Briar and Rosalind.
Sister to Aldo (Ivana) Srebernic. Kristina immigrated to Canada from Slovenia in 1956 with her husband and infant daughter.
She worked hard in the hospitality industry and enjoyed volunteering with West Park Healthcare Centre and the Catholic Women's League. Known as Mama Tina to her family, she enjoyed hosting many family dinners and serving her delicious homemade lasagna.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends in Canada, Slovenia, and the U.S.
