Dee WilliamDEE, William "Rea"   -  October 2, 1927 – October 1, 2021

WHAT IS LIFE … BUT ONE GRAND ADVENTURE

It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, William "Rea" Dee on Friday, October 1, 2021, sadly 1 day before his 94th birthday.

Rea will be missed by his adoring daughters Susan (Brad) and Cathy (Bruce - predeceased 2017) and cherished Poppa to Derrick (Kim), Matheson, Genna (Ryan) and Dillon.

Rea was a beloved father to his two daughters and a devoted husband of 65 years to our mom, Margaret (predeceased 2019) with whom he has now been reunited.

Rea was born in Winnipeg, and moved with his parents to Schumacher where he spent his childhood and as a teenager worked in the gold mines.

He would eventually move to Toronto to open his own auto mechanic business where he met the love of his life and settled in Scarborough - Guildwood Village for over 60 years.

Rea finished his career in auto mechanics with the Telegram newspaper and as garage supervisor at the Toronto Star. Rea always put his family first, but the wilderness was in his blood, he loved canoeing, fishing, camping, hunting and gardening.

Rea also loved to travel; he experienced world adventures regularly and treasured the time spent on family cruises/vacations.

Due to COVID, a private family interment will take place at a later date.

The family asks that those who knew Rea, reflect on the adventures and memories you've shared to celebrate his life, in lieu of a donation/ flowers.
