Houston AudreyHOUSTON, Audrey  -  It is with sad hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Houston, on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Georgetown Hospital.

Audrey, in her 87th year, wife of the late Bob Houston (2013).

Loving mother of Linda (Sam) McClure and David (Susan) Houston.

Loved grandmother of Megan, Emily, Sadie and Max.

Predeceased by her sister Joan and by her brothers Peter and James. Dear sister-in-law of Vi Houston, Brenda Houston and Kay Dutton.

As a young adult Audrey emigrated from England to Canada. As a nod to her English heritage and ties to Britain, Audrey always enjoyed a fine cup of tea, English TV and movies, everything Royal, and many trips back home.

Together with Bob, Audrey established and built Tartan Color into a successful business while creating and maintaining loving family homes.

She gave generously of her time to her family and local causes: actively supporting St. Georges Anglican Church, joining friends in Scottish Country dancing, tennis and golf pursuits, loaning her beautiful voice to musical theatre productions and the church choir.

Always a glowing and steadfast example of manners and decorum Audrey was adorned affectionately as "Our Lady of Distinction" by her care providers in her final community of Amica Georgetown.

Family would like to extend thanks to Amica and it's staff for the kindness extended to Audrey. A private family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. George's Anglican Church or the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
