DOTO, Francesco Paolo - Known by loved ones as Paolo, passed away peacefully, at the age of 90 years old, at Michael Garron Hospital, in Toronto early Thursday, October 14, 2021 surrounded by his wife, Teresa Doto (nee Cornacchia), and his loving children.

Paolo was the sixth of nine children born to Margarita and Michele Doto on April 4, 1931 in Deliceto, Italy. He came to Canada in July of 1959 and started a new life with the love of his life, Teresa.

He supported his family for decades as a welder worker for Diesel Equipment.

During his time in Toronto, he was a proud parishioner and minister of St. Brigid’s Catholic Church. Paolo was a longtime member of Deliceto Toronto Social Club; he loved to play cards, and tell stories with family and friends.

Paolo, loving father to five; Giuseppe Doto (Sandy Kappa), Franco Doto (Linda Henry), Rita Doto, the late Michele Doto (survived by daughter-in-law Cathy Martin), & Carlo Doto, and a beloved Nonno to eight beautiful grandchildren; Trevor and Emily, Luca and Lily, Tianna and Kyra, and, Grace and Sophia. Paolo was also a loving uncle, friend, and neighbor to many.

Family & friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Monday October 18 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 19, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid's Parish 300 Wolverleigh Blvd., Toronto. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Brigid’s Catholic Church.
