McNEICE, Leonard   -   November 3, 1925 – October 27, 2021

On October 27, 2021, days before his 96th birthday (November 3rd), Leonard (Len) Bruce McNeice passed away.

Here's what our husband, brother, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa wanted us (and you) to know.

"I hope you will miss me, but don't have any feeling of 'poor Dad' because I have been very rich. Don't look for my wealth because it is not the kind you can take to the bank.

I had a great childhood, some would say, with truth, a misspent childhood.

Because, like most of my kids and grandkids I didn't use my brains the way I could have: I had too much fun!

I was lucky to find Mary Teresa Gilmore and was finally able to convince her she should become Mary Teresa McNeice.

We were married for 73 years.

See how lucky I was?" Len is survived by his sister Marilyn French (Bob deceased) and Murray McNeice (Joan).

Len was predeceased by his older brother Stan (Robina) and his eldest daughter Terri (Dave deceased).

He will be sorely missed by his wife Mary, his surviving children Barb Smyth (both Bobs deceased) Leonard (Laverne), Steve (Lee), Bill (Liz), David (Caroline), Peter (Joni), and Claudette Bartley (John).

Grandpa will also be greatly missed by his (15) grandchildren and (18) great-grandchildren.

As per his wishes Len has been cremated and a Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church at 175 Emma Street, Guelph.

Following the Mass there will be a reception at Victoria Park East Golf Club, 1096 Victoria Road South, Guelph. All are welcome. Double vaccination is required at both venues, masks at the church.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in Len's memory please donate to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Covenant House.
