PORTER, Margaret "Peggy" Clara Porter (née White)   -  November 20, 1935 - October 26, 2021.

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Peggy Porter, at Bridgepoint Health in Toronto, with her children by her side, at the age of 85.

Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband Murray (2009).

Loving mother of Howard and Rachelle.

Devoted Gramma of Griffin, Sophie, Mira, and Lucas, who were a big light in her life.

Dear sister of Ev (the late Aus), Pat (Bruce), Ed (Rosemary) and the late Marion (the late Grant).

Dear mother-in-law of Joan McGuinness and Jon Mychajlyszyn.

Loving Auntie Peggy to many nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Fondly remembered by the Beal, Hicks, Laverock, White, and Albert families.

Peggy was known for her kindness, endearing nature, warm smile, and for being a cherished friend.

There will be a private family-only graveside service.  An online virtual celebration of Peggy's life will follow at a later date.  If interested in details, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

In lieu of flowers, Peggy kindly asked that you consider donating to True North Aid (truenorthaid.ca/education), as in her later years she was interested in supporting young children and their education needs in Northern Canada.

The family wishes to thank the Palliative team at Bridgepoint, and especially their incredible nursing staff, for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Peggy and family these last weeks.
