Jones EthelJONES, Ethel Jones - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel on October 31, 2021 at the age of 102.

Peacefully and in the presence of God, Ethel was called home and reunited with her loving husband, Alton “Mickey” Jones, her parents, Elizabeth and Osmond Seale. She is now with her siblings, Dorothy Pillerseaty, Oscar Seale, Edith Brooks, Winnie Blackman, Doris Halfkenny and her beloved brother-in-law Dudley “Junior” Marshall, Robert “Bobby” Brooks and her niece and nephews who passed before her, Linda and Wayne Brooks and Sandy Seale.

She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Shirley and her devoted granddaughter Michelle, who always called her “Nana.”

Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia to Osmond and Elizabeth (nee McInnis) Seale in 1919, this remarkable woman lived life to the fullest and did so with grace, kindness and beauty.

She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by her nieces and nephews, who always called her “Aunt Het” or “Aunt Ettie”: Mary Lou and Tris Scott, Alan and Judy Brooks, Dorothy “Betty” Reid, Glen and Joan Hamilton, Marilyn Jones, Trudy Talbot, Phillip Sheppard, Joey and Jim Warren, and John, Howard, Raymond and Bonnie Seale. And she will be missed by all her Great-Nieces and Nephews across Ontario and Nova Scotia.

A devout Christian, Ethel was a member of the British Methodist Episcopal Church of East York, and will be forever missed by the Congregation. Ethel never missed a Sunday in church. She was a member of her beloved BME Missionary Society and taught Sunday School throughout her years of service to her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Ethel was an avid reader and writer, a dressmaker, proud Brown Owl, she loved to travel, she was retiree of HOOP, a friend to the Bermuda Association of Toronto, an environmentalist, and above all, a loyal servant of God.

The family would like to thank Viviana, Pearl, Marvis, Subahary, Sobia and all the PSW’s on the 3rd floor of Craiglee for their compassion and care of our beloved Matriarch, Ethel Jones.

Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Homw, Scarborough on November 5th from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM an on November 6th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The service will take place in the chapel on November 6th at 12:00 PM.
