COCHRANE, James Alexander (Jim) - 1930 - 2021 Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on October 26, 2021, at the age of 91. J
im is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Arlene, and Children Cheryl (Jeff), Cindy (Gavin), and Steve (Jodi).
Lovingly known as 'POPS' by his grandchildren, he will be missed by Carly (Kevin), Brandon (Courttney), Duncan (Destiny), Catie, and Sarah, his great-grandkids Landon, Brock, and Shayla, and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Cabbagetown; Jim was proud to talk about his championship days with Balmy Beach football club from '53-55, and tell stories of his career with the Toronto Police from 1954-1988, where he retired as a Detective Sergeant from 14 division.
In his retirement - ever the family man - he devoted his time to his family, watching his grandkids sports, coaching the Jays, and enjoying a "nice cup of tea".
