WARD, Geogina (nee MONAGHAN)   - It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Georgina Ward (nee Monaghan), of Scarborough, on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the age of 92.

Georgina was born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 11, 1929.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Joseph Ward of 66 years.

Cherished mother to Teresa Ward (Dan), and adored grandmother to Danielle Weaver of Toronto.

Georgina Came to Canada in 1954 by boat, when randomly, Joseph volunteered to assist her with her luggage.

One year later they were happily married and moved to Scarborough into their new home, where they lived for 66 years.

Georgina was an avid reader (especially mysteries), she was someone who loved a good conversation, and was always updated on current events. Remarkably, she spoke 5 languages, and volunteered teaching English as a second language.

She was an accomplished pianist but her true passion was knitting, which never went unnoticed. She was a true Master Knitter.

Day in and out, she spent her time making and designing beautiful creations.

She also enjoyed entertaining her granddaughter with colorful stories of her youth in Scotland. Georgina was a generous soul, who cherished spending time with her family.

She was kind, witty, and loved to laugh. There's so much more about her that not even words can describe.

Her infectious smile, dedication and generosity will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made to her favourite Charity, Doctors Without Borders.
