Creron VeraCRERON, Vera Marguerite (nee GLIDE)    -  Entered into rest peacefully in her 101st year on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.

Vera was born in Saint Peter Port Guernsey Channel Islands (UK) February 1, 1921.

At the age of 18 she met her future husband Thomas Creron, but that loving relationship was interrupted as Vera and her parents were shipped by the Nazis to a prisoner of war camp in Biberach, Germany during WWII.

When Thomas Creron returned from a different prisoner of war camp 5 years later, Vera and Thomas were married and immigrated to Canada a few years later.

Vera was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1989 and son-in-law Greg in 2013.

Mom leaves to mourn her children: Patricia (Ron) Busby, Joan Crombie, Joseph (Laura) Creron, and Michael (Daina) Creron, her grandchildren: Jeffery (Julie), Christopher, G. Scott (Judy), Kristina, Reid, Johnathan, Colleen (Mitch), Sandra (Trevor), Thomas (Kayla) and Charlotte and her great-grandchildren: Nathan, Olivia, Lucas, Chase, Cody, Calder, Jake, Casey, Benjamin, Finn, Isla and Harper.

Vera will be remembered by her special friend Margaret Brennan.

The family of Vera Creron will celebrate her life with a Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Fenelon Falls at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fenelon Falls Cemetery. Masks are mandatory for the people in attendance and proof of Double Vaccination will be required to attend the Mass and reception, either by QR Code or paper copy with proof of identification.

Expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, to the SickKids Foundation in Toronto would be appreciated.
