Thomson WilliamTHOMSON, William (Bill, Uncle Bill)   -  Passed away peacefully, at Quinte Health Centre, Bancroft, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

Bill was a 25-year veteran of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force with 55 Division.

He is loved and missed by his wife of 43 years, Debbie.

Also missed by his sister Jeannie (Dave) of Apsley, brothers Donny (Wendy) of Oshawa, Ian (Lorrie) of Port Hope, sister-in-law Susan Stevens (David) of Pickering and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Predeceased by his parents John and Annie Thomson.

Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives may call at The Hendren Funeral Homes, Lakefield, on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. You are invited to watch the funeral service by attending the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 77, Lakefield, 10 Nicholls Street, Lakefield. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you are required to register your attendance for the visitation and/or service viewing at the Legion by contacting the funeral home.

Following the funeral service, the family will be joining those already at the Legion for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MS Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice as expressions of sympathy.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Colin Mathieson and caregivers Tammy and Trinity for their wonderful care of Bill.
