Greene PeterGREENE, Peter Richard   -  July 11, 1951 - November 30, 2021

After a life well lived, Peter died in the presence of his beloved wife, Karen and children, Leslie, Jennifer, Olivia and Christophe at St. Michael's Hospital.

Son of Joe Greene and Corinne Bedore, Peter embarked on many adventures, as we all did being young.

Teenage Pete worked in the Arctic to pay for his studies in History and Law at Dalhousie University where he met his then-partner with whom he later welcomed Leslie (Lee) and Jennifer (Ethan) home.

After moving to Toronto in 1979, Peter quickly became a partner at Fasken, and soon after co-founded law firm Kelly Affleck Greene, which he continued to manage until 2019.

In 1997, he met Karen who further enriched his life with Olivia (Matti), Christophe (Kirby) and the entire CinqMars family.

He will be remembered by his grandchildren, Kara, Kieran, Luna, Penelope, Hugo; his siblings Glen (Annie), Jocelyn (Chuck), Stephanie (Chris), Virginia (Darren); his nieces and nephews (too many to name but all known and loved); and countless colleagues and friends.

Peter was a man who knew how to love, laugh, think, teach, learn and revel in the successes of those close to him. A man who would support you without question or hesitation.

Thank you Peter for giving us shelter from the storm. We feel comfort that Peter is probably out on the Point with his red geraniums, watching the Ottawa River pass by, telling us all to "have FUN!"

A visitation will be hosted at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.

Please bring proof of double vaccination and a mask.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics Canada.
