GILES, Harry, QC, OC, - September 1, 1930 - December 5, 2021 at 91
Survived by children, David, Kathy and Christa, daughter-in-law Carol Derk, son-in-law Hector Mackenzie, grandchildren Amanda (Kevan Loy) and Andrew Giles, Anna and Sarah Mackenzie (Jack McVeigh), sisters-in-law Sue and Dolly, nieces and nephews, Sharon, and many friends and colleagues.
Predeceased by his wife Anna, and his brothers, George and Jack.
He and Anna were the driving force behind the founding of the Toronto French School and he founded the Giles School.
Harry's contribution to education will leave a lasting legacy in its students and staff.
A memorial will be planned for the new year.
In lieu of flowers, memorial considerations to The Canadian Cancer Society (Breast and Ovarian) or Diabetes Canada.
