EDELSTEIN, Clara - Clara Edelstein, 74, passed away on December 14, 2021, surrounded by her husband and family.
She had been fighting cancer for the last few months and her family is at peace knowing her suffering had come to an end.
Clara was born in Ukraine and pursued nursing studies after graduating high school, moving away from home. She excelled in her studies and went on to practice as a nurse prior to emigrating to Israel where she continued in the profession that she loved.
Clara was married to Lew and they have two children, Albert and Jill. Clara emigrated once again, moving to Canada where she worked at Baycrest Nursing home for over 20 years, serving the most vulnerable older adults and sharing her nursing expertise with her colleagues.
In her retirement, Clara enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Clara is survived by her husband, Lew, her children, Albert and Jill, her daughter and son in law, Beatrise and Michael, and her grandchildren, Jenna, Jonathan, Daniel, Brielle, and Hailey.
Arrangements are entrusted with Steeles Memorial Chapel.
