Affleck MaryAFFLECK, Mary Jean (nee WILLIAMSON)   - 83, passed away peacefully, on December 14, 2021.

Daughter of Dr. Lloyd Williamson and Viola (née Gibson).

Proud mother of Deborah Jean Affleck and Donald William Affleck.

Adored mother-in-law of Paul Buzbuzian and Caryn Affleck.

Loving grand-mama of Zachary, Nicholas and grand-pup, Charlie. MJ will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. MJ was born on May 10, 1938, in Hamilton, and was an avid Tiger Cats fan.

Graduate of Victoria College in 1961, she devoted much of her life to the service of others through her many years teaching home economics, supporting the Canadian Cancer Society and offering Meals on Wheels to those in need, just to name a few.

An active member of her community, MJ enjoyed singing in various church choirs, most recently as a member of the Treblemakers.

She reveled in the competitiveness and camaraderie of playing sports, including curling, basketball, golf, tennis, and washer toss. Her delectable culinary skills were legendary, and her delicious jams will be forever missed.

A private Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church, Collingwood, Thursday, December 30th at 1 p.m.
