UESSON TALPAK, Monika Anita   -  July 4, 1951 - December 9, 2021

Born in Sweden of Estonian immigrant parents, Veralda (nee Elmik) and Georgi Uesson.

Coming to Canada in 1952 and settling in Toronto.

Married to (the now late) Karl Talpak in 1987.

Graduate of both the University of Toronto and Ontario College of Art.

Her art career started very young, and she was a prolific in her sketches, prints, still life, landscapes, and portraits.

Extensive shows in Toronto and Sweden with works in private and public collections and member of the EKKT.

Monika had a vast love of art and delighted and encouraged people in the arts, whether it was to open a gallery, get back into drawing or have an art exhibit. A deep love gardening and of animals, especially black cats and raccoons.

Cremation has already taken place. Monika's memorial will be at the Arts and Letters Club, 14 Elm Street, Toronto, Sunday, June 12th, Visitation at 10:30 a.m., Service at 11 a.m. and reception to follow.

The Arts and Letters Club request: "Attendees are to be fully vaccinated and sign the club's indemnity waiver."
